As run by me for the last three years, here’s the official launch of the free to enter, 2009 F1 fantasy Stock car league. I hope it continues to build on the success of the past few years.
Basically, select a team that will score you the most points from the price list of drivers, the team that has the most points at the conclusion of the final meeting of the year, wins.
The league is open to anyone and everyone, so spread the word if you know someone who might be interested.
So on to the rules of the league, same rules as last year, as it through up the most competitive league so far:
Rules.
- All drivers have been given a rounded value in either millions, or hundred thousands. Each team has up to £50 million to spend. There is no limit on how many drivers you select, just as long as each team total does not exceed £50 million. - You do not need to spend all of the £50 million straight away. You can keep some in reserve for later in the season should tactics dictate you, to not spend a lot early on.
- All races will be included and all points scoring positions be counted. So heat, consolation, final and GN points down to 10th count. Not forgetting the Final winner double points opportunity in the GN, will also count in the league.
- Like the drivers racing, each team has the opportunity to play 2 jokers. The season will be split in to two halves and only one joker can be played in each half. Both jokers can be played on either surface. I will need at least 1 days notice prior to the meeting that you wish to be your joker meeting. The first half of the season begins with Belle Vue 15th March and closes at Skegness 12th July inclusive and the second half begins with Northampton 18th July and closes with Birmingham 21st November inclusive.
- Upto 5 changes can be made in a season. The buying in of a driver, does not constitute a change. Swapping a driver, does.
- Only UK BriSCA F1 meetings count towards the league.
- This years league remains a free league. However to keep in line with raising funds for the trust fund (of which is the purpose of the league) for every team entering, i will personally donate a pound to the Drivers fund. Donations from participants will be welcomed though. Hope to beat the 2008 amount raised which was £183.
There’s no deadline for teams and I’ll be accepting them after the season start I’m sure. But probably best get them in beforehand.
